| OOC/AN: set during the events of old RPG on LJ
"There was a time when men were kind When their voices were soft And their words inviting There was a time when love was blind And the world was a song And the song was exciting There was a time Then it all went wrong I dreamed a dream in time gone by When hope was high And life worth living I dreamed that love would never die I dreamed that God would be forgiving Then I was young and unafraid And dreams were made and used and wasted There was no ransom to be paid No song unsung, no wine untasted
But the tigers come at night With their voices soft as thunder As they tear your hope apart And they turn your dream to shame He slept a summer by my side He filled my days with endless wonder He took my childhood in his stride But he was gone when autumn came And still I dream he'll come to me That we will live the years together But there are dreams that cannot be And there are storms we cannot weather
I had a dream my life would be So different from this hell I'm living So different now from what it seemed Now life has killed the dream I dreamed," Christine sang, her gaze filled with despair, her voice breaking as she sang, projecting the mood of the chosen song perfectly. It had been a rough day at the school - especially since it was freshman year and Sky's mood following his breakup with Diaspro, his dating Bloom, his parents' disapproval lead to his taking it out on the new class - her class. She could feel the bruises forming, but like the trooper she was, she was resolved to keep it quiet, probably only sharing with Arkady the true extent of what was going on - that is, if she had the courage to tell him. Lord knew he was probably experiencing it as well - he was a freshman like her, and wasn't faring much better. He still wasn't quite sure which part of the sword was supposed to go into the other person.
Christine smiled at the crowd, the smile never quite reaching her painfilled eyes, and blew kisses. She knew they didn't care what she was going through, just as long as she did her job that's all they cared about. She froze a moment when she saw the team she was training under, Sky's team, enter and settle at a table near the stage. A look of utter fear flittered across her face for a space of a heart beat before she composed herself and blew a kiss in his direction (it didn't matter which he it was, she flirted for the sake of flirting - besides, their girls weren't there so they wouldn't know), flirting slightly as she was in her real identity and not as her school persona.
She took a steadying breath and launched into another song, hoping they wouldn't realize that the girl before them was the same person as the boy they taught. It'd be dangerous. "Look at the sky tell me what do you see Just close your eyes and describe it to me The heavens are sparkling with starlight tonight
That's what I see through your eyes I see the heavens each time that you smile I hear your heartbeat just go on for miles And suddenly I know why life is worthwhile That's what I see through your eyes That's what I see through your eyes
Here in the night, I see the sun Here in the dark, our two hearts are one Its out of our hands, we can't stop what we have begun And love just took me by surprise, looking through your eyes I see a night I wish could last forever I see a world we're meant to see together And it is so much more than I remember More than I remember More than I have known
Here in the night, I see the sun Here in the dark, our two hearts are one Its out of our hands, we can't stop what we have begun And love just took me by surprise, looking through your eyes Looking through your eyes." Her blue eyes held one of the boys' own eyes and a look of surprise skittered across her face as they smiled back at her, not realizing who she was. | |

| so, yeah, I think I just scared my mother with my text message - "where's the guaze?" What happened was, Piper's nails did a pretty good job raking my arm and the claw marks haven't quite started bleeding but I rather have them covered so I don't have to look at them on my left arm. One of these days, he has got to get over his thing about mailmen | |
